Dr. Bonni is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis and an Adjunct Professor in the Division of Neurology at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Previously, Dr. Bonni was the Edison Professor of Neuroscience and Chairman of the Department of Neuroscience at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He was also Director of the McDonnell Center for Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology at Washington University. Prior to that, Dr. Bonni was a Professor of Neurobiology and Professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Bonni received his MD and completed an internship in medicine at Queen’s University, then completed a residency in neurology at McGill University. He was chief resident in neurology at the Montreal Neurological Institute. Dr. Bonni received his PhD degree from Harvard University and performed postdoctoral studies at Boston Children’s Hospital.
