Ayrton Roberto Massaro MD

Ayrton Roberto Massaro is a doctor trained by UFRJ in 1983. He completed his medical residency in 1986 and master's degree in Neurology at UNIFESP in 1992, and in 1998 Doctorate from FMUSP. Between 1989 and 1991 he was admitted as a fellow of the Stroke Service of Prof. Jay P Mohr, located at the Neurological Institute at Columbia University in New York., The USA. 

Ayrton has worked as a qualified doctor at the UNIFESP Neurology Service since 1987 and, after the new contest in 2006, as Adjunct Professor. Between 1995 and 2001 he worked as an assistant physician and supervisor of the Nursing Clinic of the Neurological Clinic of the Hospital das Clínicas of FMUSP. After his separation from UNIFESP in 2007, he was invited by Prof. Joseph Berger, Head of the Neurology Service of the University of Kentucky to join the team of the Department of Neurology as an Associate Professor in the area of ​​Vascular Neurology. 

Ayrton stayed in Kentucky for a short period in 2008 and, returning to the country, he served as Visiting Professor of this service for 2 years. Between 2009 and 2013, he worked together with Prof. Dr. Linamara Batistella at the Lucy Montoro Institute to improve clinical research in the area of ​​robotics and virtual reality. In 2016 he was a visiting researcher at INSCER (PUC Porto Alegre Brain Institute) guiding residents and neurologists in the creation of clinical research lines. Since 2006, he has been affiliated with the Hospital Sirio-Libanês in São Paulo, where he carries out his medical activities.
