Biography :

Dr. Ayan Sen is a Consultant in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine and Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine and Medicine, at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He is the Associate Chair of Clinical Practice, Medical Director of the Multidisciplinary ICU and Medical Director of the Rapid Response Program at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.

He is also a Clinical Professor of Biomedical Informatics and Biological and Health Systems Engineering at Arizona State University. Board-certified in Critical Care Medicine, Emergency Medicine and NeuroCritical Care, Dr Sen’s primary research interest is on application of extracorporeal technologies in critical illness. When not dabbling with physiology and an additional interest in toxicology, he loves exploring and researching the role of human factors and team performance in complex dynamic situations- e.g. code blue resuscitations.
