Awais Malik MD

Awais Ahmed Malik, M.D., is a cardiologist with additional board certifications in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology, and expertise in the diagnosis and management of cardiac amyloidosis. His clinical and research interests encompass the use of innovative strategies and artificial intelligence techniques to promote early diagnosis and integration of multidisciplinary care of patients with cardiac amyloidosis. He also focuses on the investigation of therapies for the prevention and treatment of cardiac amyloidosis.

In addition to cardiac amyloidosis, Dr. Malik has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of other infiltrative cardiomyopathies and the implementation of strategies for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Dr. Malik is an Assistant Professor at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. He is active in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
