Ava Lou Carmichael Chase BA, MS, BSN, MSN, DNP, FNP-C

Dr. Ava Chase DNP FNP-BC has been in practice for the past 19 years. She is a Family Nurse Practitioner who owned two of her own practices in Iowa and has relocated to California and is working at a Community Health Center in inner city San Diego. Her niche has been in Latino Health Care as she speaks fluent Spanish. She has also taught at a major university since 2003 and wrote the Advanced Practice Procedures Course as well as the Primary Care of Adults and Primary Care of Pediatrics courses.
Dr. Chase (formerly Dr. Ava Eagles) has precepted several NP students as well as nursing students, pharmacy students, and medical assistant students. She also performs a wide variety of procedures and is currently teaching primary care procedures to Family Practice Residents. She has spoken at several conferences including speaking engagements at the National AANP Conference, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the Florida Nurse Practitioners Network, and the California NP Society.
