Aude Lagier has been working as an ENT-phoniatrician in the University Hospital of Marseille (France) and taught anatomy at the Faculty of Medicine (Aix-Marseille University, France) until 2016. At the University Hospital of Liege (Belgium) since 2016, her clinical activity focuses on the medical and surgical management of voice and swallowing disorders, particularly in the field of laryngeal immobility surgical treatments.

She also continues to teach head and neck anatomy at the University of Liege. Her Ph.D. in sciences of language dealt with the laryngeal physiology and phonotrauma using ex vivo human larynges. She continues her research on the functional anatomy of the larynx in close collaboration with the laboratories of an anatomy of the universities of Liege (Belgium) and Aix-Marseille (France), and with the "Speech and Language Lab" (UMR 7309, CNRS-Aix Marseille University).
