Atif Qasim, M.D., MSCE is an Associate Professor in the Division of Cardiology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is curently the echo core lab director and cardiology fellowship program director. He earned his M.S./B.S. in Biochemistry and Biophysics at Yale University and earned his M.D. degree at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his medical internship, residency, chief residency and cardiology fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he also served as chief resident. During his cardiology fellowship, Dr. Qasim received advanced training in multimodality imaging and earned a master’s degree in clinical epidemiology. He joined the University of California, San Francisco cardiology faculty in 2012.
