Ashwini D. Sharan MD, MSHQS

Dr. Ashwini D. Sharan is a Professor of Neurological Surgery whose practice focuses on surgery for epilepsy, neuromodulatory surgery, and spinal neurosurgery. Dr. Sharan provides unique expertise in deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor. He also leads the surgical epilepsy program at Jefferson, performing both ablative and resective treatments for patients with medically-intractable seizures.

Dr. Sharan is the past president of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS 2017-8), past president of the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS 2015-8), and past president of the American Association of South Asian Neurosurgeons (AASAN 2009-12).
