Ashvin Sood MD

Dr. Sood is a board-certified Adult psychiatrist and Child/Adolescent psychiatrist working in Washington, DC. He received his medical degree from the School of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University. He received his adult psychiatry training at the NYU School of Medicine. Dr. Sood found a passion for working with children and proceeded to attain additional fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at both Cornell and Columbia University in New York City.

Dr. Sood approaches each patient session with a non-judgmental perspective, emphasizing empathy and understanding with every interaction. As he continues to work closely with academic institutions, Dr. Sood applies personalized research-based treatment to each patient’s treatment plan.

Dr. Sood specializes in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and parent management training. He sees both adults and children.
