Ashutosh Avadhoot Hardikar MBBS, MS, MCh, DNB, FRCS

Ashutosh Avadhoot Hardikar, MCh, FRACS had Joined the PK Sen department of CVTS at KEM Mumbai in 1994. Passed the DNB [CTSurgery] in 1996, MCh. [CVTS] Mumbai Univ in 1997. Was a Fellow at the Royal Adelaide Hospital for 3 years and helped set up Cardiothoracic department at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital, Pune in 2001. Moved to Australia in 2008. Worked as a consultant Cardiothoracic surgeon, currently the Head of the Department of CT surgery and training supervisor as well as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Tasmania. Worked as Clinical Director of Surgical Services at the Royal Hobart Hospital in 2015 and 2016. Authored over 40 publications and over 25 international presentations. Member of the IACTS, EACTS, STS and ANZSCTS. Set up Tasmanian Bicuspid aortic valve and aortic pathology registry with 500 odd patients. We are a part of BAVCon group as well as IRAD. Work as reviewer and editorial board of a few journals.
