Ashraf Fayad MD

Dr. Ashraf Fayad is an associate professor and the lead of the Perioperative Echocardiography/Ultrasound Program at the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. Dr. Fayad is a cardiovascular anesthesiologist and a certified perioperative echocardiographer. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC), a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), and a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography (FASE). He has a Master’s degree in clinical research and his research is focused on Cardiovascular Anesthesia and perioperative echocardiography. Dr. Fayad is the recipient of the Clinical Practitioner Award of the Canadian Society of Anesthesiologists in 2013 and continues to be an active member of the CAS Scientific Committee.
