Ashok Soni OBE is a Proprietor at Copes Pharmacy in the UK. He is also a Non-Executive Director at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, NHS Sussex. He was a Clinical Network Lead for Lambeth CCG. He also serves as the pharmacy and dentistry Board member for Health Education South London. Ashok qualified as a pharmacist in 1984 and in 1990 he became one of the first pharmacists to work on a sessional basis for his local GP surgery and worked with them on developing formularies of best practice across a number of therapeutic areas.

In 2006, Ashok was part of the group that looked at the implementation of independent prescribing by pharmacists and following the development and launch of the curriculum he qualified as an independent prescriber in 2007. He used this to widen his scope of practice by working as part of an integrated primary healthcare team with the local GP surgery.

In 2011, Ashok was appointed to the NHS Future Forum as the first pharmacist representative to review the proposed Health and Social Care, Bill. He also jointly led the workstream on the role of Public Health in the NHS. Ashok was previously Chair of the National Pharmacy Association and was Vice Chair of the English Pharmacy Board of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
