Ashley Cole BM, BS

Mr Ashley Cole is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Northern General Hospital, with a private practice at Claremont.

His surgical training was carried out in Sheffield and he also completed Fellowships in spinal surgery in Nottingham, Brisbane and America.

Mr Cole sees adult patients privately with spinal problems and also works full-time in the NHS at both Sheffield Children's Hospital and the Northern General Hospital.

He has an interest in outcome evaluation and research and has completed two theses on spinal deformity (idiopathic, scoliosis), the first of these as a medical student. Mr Cole has recently completed a Spinal Database to collect outcome data on all the patients he and his spinal colleagues.

He is an active member of the British Scoliosis Society, British Association of Spinal Surgeons, British Orthopaedic Association and the British Association of Clinical Anatomists (Member of Council).
