Dr. Ashish Shah is an interventional cardiologist with special interest in adult congenital & structural heart diseases at the St. Boniface Hospital and Assistant Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba, Canada. Dr Shah completed medical and cardiology training in India and UK. He also obtained Doctorate of Medicine (Research) in the Cardiovascular Sciences from the King’s College London. Following completion of training in UK, Dr Shah pursued 3 years advanced interventional cardiology fellowships; 1-year in coronary interventions and 2-years in adult congenital and structural heart diseases at the Toronto General Hospital, Canada.
In his current position, Dr Shah has joined as a Clinician Scientist and is interested in pursuing outcome research in structural and congenital heart diseases. He is also interested in evaluating flow-mediated cardiovascular diseases. He is involved in collaborative research and setting up a biobank for patients with congenital heart diseases. In addition to clinical work, Dr Shah is also interested in bio-design and has submitted patent applications.
