Ashim K Sinha, MBBS, MD, FRACP, FACE is the Director of Diabetes and Endocrinology and Senior Staff Specialist Physician, Cairns Hospital in North Queensland, Australia. He has been working in this position since 2003. His major interest is in Indigenous Health and he has been working amongst the rural Indigenous communities in Northern Queensland for over 10 years.
He holds a conjoint academic appointment as Clinical Associate Professor in Medicine with James Cook University, Cairns. In 2012 he was awarded the Royal Australasian College of Physician Medal for outstanding clinical services to rural and remote areas. He is a council member of the Australian Diabetes and Endocrine Societies and Coordinator for Endocrine Training, Specialist Advisory Committee for Endocrinology, RACP.
