Dr. Sugimoto is a Professor at Tohoku University. She completed her Ph.D. Thesis in Characterization of genes involved in the initiation of sexual reproduction process in fission yeast. Her clinical interests are biochemistry, Biophysics, Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Embryogenesis, Cell Division, Cell Polarity, Cytoskeleton, Developmental Biology, Embryos, Centrosome, Caenorhabditis Elegans.
