Arvind Vashisht MA, MD, FRCOG

Arvind Vashisht was appointed as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at the University College London Hospital in 2008. He is currently the clinical lead for Gynaecology Services at UCLH. He specialises in the treatment of women with endometriosis and pelvic floor problems including prolapse and bladder symptoms, and symptoms following childbirth. He has particular interest in minimal access, laparoscopic, surgery as well as vaginal surgery.

He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Cambridge, and then the Royal London Hospital, obtaining distinction in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. As part of his training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, he worked in the NorthWest Thames region and then completed further fellowships in Urogynaecology training at St.George’s, and ultimately subspecialty training at University College Hospital. He completed a MD thesis from the University of London, following research work done on HRT at The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and has received several prizes and awards for his work at various stages of his career. He sits on national committees for The Royal Society of Medicine, The British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) and and The British Society of Urogynaecologists.
