Dr. Arun Prasad is a well recognized general and laparoscopic surgeon with specialization in endoscopic and bariatric surgery. In his career span of over 24 years, he has performed more than 5000 laparoscopic surgeries with 6000 laparoscopic cholecystectomies and 1000 laparoscopic hernia surgeries and all other advanced laparoscopic surgery including Bariatric and more than 2000 Thoracoscopic Surgeries. He has performed one of the highest thoracoscopic surgeries and has performed the first pulmonary hydatid cyst surgery in the world and has been recorded in the Limca Book of Records. He has also performed the first laparoscopic surgery for cholecysto colic fistula in the world.
An expert in robotic gastrointestinal surgery, Dr. Arun Prasad provides a huge list of services to his patients that include laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures. Laparoscopic hernia repair, highly selective vagotomy, resection of rectum through abdomino perineal and anterior approach, left and right hemicolectomy, splenectomy, rectopexy, adrenalectomy, thymus surgery, empyema and Fundoplication are some of the areas of his expertise. He is also highly experienced with bariatric surgery procedures that include Sleeve gastrectomy, gastric banding, mini gastric bypass and Roux en Y Gastric bypass surgeries.
