Dr Arun Kumar Neoprene is an Associate Professor in the department of paediatrics, Nepalese Army Institute of Health Sciences, College of Medicine and presently assigned as the Principle; College of Medicine along with his associated responsibility as Coordinator of Medical Operations in the National COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre, Chhauni, Kathmandu, Nepal. Dr Arun has extensive knowledge of teaching and mentoring postgraduate students in paediatrics since 2004 (NAMS & IoM). He has extensive experience in clinical paediatrics, research methodology, manuscript writing and hospital administration. His last assignment was as; Commandant of a tertiary level Military Hospital and Deputy Director General Medical Services of Nepali Army Medical Corps.

His past achievements include taking the lead role in Military Medical Operations on Disaster Response during the last Gorkha Earthquake 2015. He has been trained in Disaster Management and has attended various conferences and seminars related to the same. He has a keen interest in medical journal editing and worked as the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Shree Birendra Hospital, Journal of Nepal Paediatric Society, Editor of Journal of Nepal Medical Association and Journal of Nepal Health Research Council. Dr Arun Neopane is one of the founder members of the Nepal Association of Medical Editors (NAME). He is one of the key contributing authors of a book on Managing Children in Disasters published by the Nepal Paediatric Society.
