Arun Alphonse Ignatius PhD

Arun Alphonse Ignatius is a Director of Drug Product Sciences at Macrogenics. His team is responsible for CMC aspects of drug product development for early and late-stage oncology portfolios at Macrogenics. In his tenure at Pfizer, he contributed as a group lead and as a function lead for multiple products (ABRILADA, 20vPNG, mAbs, GTx-gene therapies). He was involved in advancing GTx portfolio and building platform formulation and process development capabilities. He served as a Pfizer Worldwide R&D postdoctoral program committee member and as postdoc mentor. His research focuses on the biophysical characterization of wide range biotherapeutics (AAV, mAbs, Fc Fusion, vaccines, DNA, RNA) including higher-order structure characterization using NMR. He has over 30 peer-reviewed publications in the area of protein formulation, biophysical characterization and structural biology.
