Dr. Muruganathan has also served many other honorable positions such as Dean of Indian College of Physicians, President of Hypertension Society of India, President of Association of Physicians of India and Governing Council Member of Dr. MGR Medical University. He has unparalleled teaching experience and also has immensely contributed to the scientific society through his publications, presentations and organizing skills at National as well as International level. He played a pivotal role in identifying largely ignored conditions such as fever, lipid disorders, high blood pressure which contributes to huge mortality and coordinated in formulating national treatment guidelines.
