Arthur F. Kavanaugh MD

Arthur Kavanaugh, MD, is Professor of Medicine and Director of the Center for Innovative Therapy (CIT) at UC San Diego. Dr. Kavanaugh received his medical degree at Saint Louis University, School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO and completed his internal medicine residency and allergy/immunology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas followed by a rheumatology fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas. Dr. Kavanaugh was an inaugural member and has remained an active member of the Academy of Clinician Scholars. Since 2006, he has served as Divisional Representative to the UCSD Medical Group Quality Council, with responsibility for quality improvement within the division.
