Dr. Arthur C. Fleischer, MD, is the Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Radiology and Radiological Sciences and the Medical Director of Ultrasound. He is a fellow of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, where he previously served on the Board of Governors, a member, and a fellow of the American College of Radiology and the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound, and a member and former President of the Society for the Advancement of Women’s Imaging. Dr. Fleischer is the author of more than 240 papers and 24 books and currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. He has received the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound Larry Mack Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2018, a Lifetime Service Award from the American Board of Radiology in 2015, a Distinguished Alumnus Award from The Medical College of Georgia in 2007, the Frank H. Boehm Award for Contribution to Continuing Medical Education by Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in 2005, and the CANDLE Award from the Vanderbilt School of Medicine in 2002 for medical student education.
