Arsen Osipov, MD is a medical oncologist and clinical-translational investigator in the Gastrointestinal Disease Research Group and Pancreas Cancer Research Group of the Samuel Oschin Cancer Center at Cedars-Sinai. Dr. Osipov was previously a resident physician and selected as Chief Resident at Cedars. He rejoined Cedars-Sinai as faculty after completing his training in medical oncology at Johns Hopkins, where he was also appointed Chief Clinical and Research Fellow. Dr. Osipov's research interests include understanding the biology of the tumor microenvironment and stroma of pancreas cancer, as well as developing novel immunotherapy-based treatment strategies for gastrointestinal malignancies with a focus on pancreatic cancer.

Dr. Osipov integrates state-of-the-art multiplex imaging and analysis of tumor tissues to study the immune environment of pancreatic cancer and investigate new targets for immunotherapy sensitization, including focal adhesion kinase. Through this unique work, Dr. Osipov has developed multiple innovative neoadjuvant clinical trials in pancreatic cancer founded on translational preclinical laboratory science which utilize immunotherapy in combination with novel targeted approaches. Dr. Osipov focuses on a multidisciplinary approach for both his research and clinical endeavors, bringing together colleagues from hepatobiliary surgery, gastroenterology, radiation oncology, radiology and basic science to optimize scientific discovery and patient care. The goal of Dr. Osipov's research is to unlock the immense potential of immunotherapy in pancreatic cancer and thus advance treatment strategies and improve clinical outcomes for patients afflicted with this disease.
