Arnaud Gautier is a chemical biologist working at the department of chemistry of the Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS) in Paris, where he develops innovative methods and probes for imaging biomolecules in cells. He studied chemistry at the ENS Lyon, where he received a PhD in chemistry in 2005 for his work on transition-state analogs of peptidolysis with Jens Hasserodt. In 2006, he joined the group of Kai Johnsson at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale of Lausanne where he developed methods for labeling fusion proteins and studying protein-protein interactions with synthetic probes in living cells
