Arnaud Deveze MD, PhD

Arnaud Deveze serves currently as an Associate Professor in otolaryngology in the Department of Otolaryngology and Skull Base Surgery in the Marseille University Hospital Nord, France. Deveze graduated from the Aix-Marseille University, France, in 1999 and became a Fellow at the Department chaired by Jacques Magnan in 2004 as he obtained his medical doctor degree. He was appointed as an Associate Professor in 2009 and defended his Ph.D. thesis in 2010 in the biomechanics aspects of middle ear implantations. Deveze has signed and cosigned significant publications on lateral skull base surgery and ear surgery, especially for middle ear implantation, from experimental perspectives to clinical results and quality of life assessment. His main research interests are linked to the biomechanics aspects of sound transmission through the bone and the middle ear. He works on the development of new types of auditory implants, implanted microphone, and sound transducers. Deveze is currently active in clinical studies focused on auditory implants results and vestibular disorders.
