Armand Mekontso Dessap MD

Dr. Armand Mekontso Dessap is currently head of the Critical Care Unit Medicine at Henri Mondor Hospital, University of Paris East Creteil, France. Following a College degree in science in Cameroon, he received medical training in France and obtained his specialist qualifications in Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Paris XII. He is the director of the CARMAS (Cardiovascular and Respiratory Manifestations of ARDS and Sepsis) research group. His research interests include non-invasive hemodynamics (echocardiography), ARDS, sepsis, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and sickle cell disease. He is the author and co-author of several peer-reviewed articles, reviews, editorials, and book chapters.
