Arlene Luu earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from San Diego State University and a certificate in Public Health Nursing for the State of California. She completed her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law and is a California licensed attorney. She is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM).
Ms. Luu has over 18 years of experience as a registered nurse in diverse settings that included direct patient care, administration, case management, utilization review/management, nursing education, and risk management and patient safety. She has worked as a defense attorney representing doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care providers in medical malpractice matters and has defended providers against charges brought by the Medical Board and Nursing Board. She has presented and published on a variety of health care law and risk management topics.
