Dr. Arjun Jayaraj did his training in general surgery at the University of Washington, Seattle followed by a fellowship in vascular surgery at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester. He is currently board certified in both general surgery and vascular surgery. Dr. Jayaraj is a recognized expert in the field of venous disease having done over 1000 deep venous procedures, making it one of the largest experiences in the country. His extensive clinical experience is complimented by his clinical research. He is a frequent speaker at national/international meetings, in addition to authoring/co-authoring numerous publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and book chapters. Dr. Jayaraj serves as the Associate Editor (Reviews) for the Journal of Vascular Surgery – Venous and Lymphatic Disorders, besides being a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Vascular Surgery – Cases, Innovations and Techniques and Veins & Lymphatics. He is also an invited reviewer for multiple other journals including the Journal of Endovascular Therapy, Journal of Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Journal of the American College of Cardiology – Case Reports, and Phlebology among others. Dr. Jayaraj sits on the Board of Directors of the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) Vascular Interventional Division besides serving on committees of the American Venous Forum and the Society for Vascular Surgery. He is also a member of the clinical practice guidelines writing group of the Society of Vascular Surgery.
