Arif Musa is a student doctor, clinical researcher, and research consultant based out of the Detroit Metropolitan Area & Los Angeles. He has contributed to over 25 peer-reviewed publications, 20 awards, and 100 conference abstracts. His research has been funded by device manufacturers such as Stryker, governmental organizations such as the National Institutes of Health, and physician professional societies such as the Society of Interventional Radiology. He is the leader of SPARTA (Spine Preoperative Anxiety Research TAskforce).
Arif Musai is looking for opportunities to consult and volunteer his expertise for health systems, pharmaceutical companies, device manufacturers, and non-governmental organizations.
Arif Musa, a third-year medical student, launched the project because of the increased prevalence of depressive disorders among college students, coupled with the prevalence of partner violence, and often stigmatized and under-reported occurrences among campus communities, he said. Arif Musa Musa is the lead author of “The Prevalence of Intimate Partner Violence and Association with Depression in University Students: Results of a Cross-Sectional Study,” included in this month’s issue of the Journal of Nervous and Mental Disease.
