Dr. Hay is employed by Pediatric Specialists of America (PSA), the multispecialty group practice of Nicklaus Children’s Health System. She is a rheumatologist within the Division of Rheumatology at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, as well as a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Dr. Hay earned her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. She then pursued both a residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric rheumatology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, New York. Her clinical interests include juvenile systemic lupus erythematosus and transition of care for adolescents with chronic illness.

Dr. Hay is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric rheumatology. She is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatism Research Alliance (CARRA). Dr. Hay is currently involved in research studies regarding an observational study of pediatric rheumatic diseases through the CARRA Registry, along with an evaluation of the efficacy of Anakinra in the treatment of Still’s Disease. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and she has written chapters for medical textbooks and presented at conferences.
