Archana Ramaswamy completed her medical school and residency at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. She has obtained a healthcare MBA from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN. She has completed a minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at Emory University. She is a professor of surgery at the University of Minnesota and a staff surgeon at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center. She is the director of the surgery clerkship and an associate program director for the general surgery residency at the University of Minnesota. Her clinical interests include bariatrics, hernia, foregut, and endoscopy. She is on the Board of SAGES and AHS.
