Arash is an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at the University of Wales Bangor since 2006. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Health Policy and Management at the Department of Health Management and Economics, School of Public Health, Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) and also the Deputy Director for Research of the Center for Academic and Health Policy (CAHP), TUMS. He is member of several advisory committees at the TUMS and also the Ministry of Health and Medical Education and is elected as the board member of the Health Economics Association of Iran.
Previously he was a lecturer in Health Services Research at the Department of Public Health and Policy of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). He worked also as Guidelines Methodological Advisor to the National Collaborating Centre for Acute Care of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).
