April Lumpkins is a Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with ten years’ experience in managing complex wounds and ostomies as a Certified Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nurse and Certified Foot Care Nurse. In addition to wound/ostomy care, April’s responsibilities include management, quality improvement, program development, health informatics, documentation improvement, research, and clinical education. April believes the core to successful wound healing is not only establishing the right diagnosis and treatment plan but also to educate and engage the patient to be an active participant in their care.
