Apostolos Tsapas MD, PhD

Dr. Apostolos Tsapas is Associate Professor of Medicine at Aristotle University Thessaloniki, and head of the Diabetes Center, Second Medical Department at Ippokration General Hospital, Thessaloniki, Greece. He is also lead investigator at the Clinical Research and Evidence-Based Medicine Unit at Aristotle University (cebm.med.auth.gr), and senior research fellow at Harris Manchester College, University of Oxford, UK.

Dr. Tsapas earned his MD and PhD degrees from the Aristotle University Thessaloniki. He also earned an MSc degree in evidence-based healthcare from the Center for Evidence Based Medicine (CEBM) at the University of Oxford. Dr. Tsapas completed a fellowship at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes Endocrinology and Metabolism (OCDEM) in UK. In 2011 he worked for six months as visiting scientist in the Knowledge and Evaluation Research Unit at Mayo Clinic, Rochester MN.
