Dr. Anwar Naqvi is a medical graduate of Dow Medical College and joined SIUT in 1974. He got his MCPS from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in 1975 and received his Honorary FCPS in 2002. He has been trained in the field of urology and transplantation at different hospitals in UK and USA. He received his MS (Urology) Degree from the University of Karachi in 1984. Presently he is working as the Professor of Urology at SIUT.
Dr. Naqvi is the Past President of the International Society of Organ Donation and Procurement and the Middle East Society of Organ Transplantation, Vice President of the Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons (PAUS), and Secretary-General of Transplantation Society of Pakistan. He is the Secretary-General of the Asian Society of Transplantation and a member of the Custodian of the Istanbul Declaration. His special field of interest is urolithiasis, transplantation in developing countries, and ethical, legal, and social issues of transplantation. He has contributed over 150 publications in internationally indexed journals and contributed to five chapters. He is a member of the editorial board of several international medical journals.
