Anurag K. (Andy) Das, MD, FACS, is a staff urologist at BID–Needham and an assistant professor of surgery and urology at Harvard Medical School. He also serves as director of the Center for Neuro-urology and Continence at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Das is a pioneer in the field of neuoromodulation and, in the late 1990s, he performed the first sacral neurostimulation implant in the Northeast.
His clinical interests include female urology, neuro-urology, treatment of prostate enlargement, and sacral neuromodulation for the treatment of refractory voiding dysfunction. Dr. Das, who earned his medical degree at Northwestern University Medical School and completed his residency and fellowship at Duke University Medical Center, has received numerous awards and was named one of Boston's "Best Doctors" in urology by Boston Magazine in 2010 and 2011.
