Professor Antonio Vidal- Puig is a professor at the University of Cambridge which has been working for years in the field with contributions that have helped to understand the molecular mechanisms and pathophysiology of the so-called metabolic syndrome. Particularly it has spent most of his research to elucidate mechanisms lipotoxicity related to the development of insulin resistance . Dr Vidal- Puig is combining clinical practice and basic research is a fundamental support in the development of this project.
