Antonio Moschetta

Antonio Moschetta graduated with honors in Internal Medicine from the University of Bari in 1997 and time immediately Pursued training period abroad, with the aim of developing development His multidisciplinary interests ranging from gastrointestinal system pathophysiology to lipid metabolism and molecular biology. After receiving His MD, he enrolled in a PhD program in Hepatology and Gastroenterology at the University Medical Center of Utrecht in the NL. His PhD thesis was on the molecular interactions between bile acids, phospholipids and cholesterol with a focus on bile acid toxicity. His fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Utrecht led him to the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where he was Recruited as Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellow in the Department of Pharmacology chaired by Nobel Laureate Alfred Gilman, in the laboratory of David Mangelsdorf .
