Antonio Moreno Galdo

Dr. Antonio Moreno Galdó was born in Granada (Spain) and graduated in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Granada in 1983. He completed his specialty in Pediatrics at Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona, Spain in 1988, and his doctoral thesis at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, in 1992.

He worked as an assistant physician in the Pediatric Department of Hospital Son Dureta in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, between 1989 and 1992 and since 1992 he works at Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona, Spain. Between 1989 and 1997 his professional dedication was directed to Pediatric Intensive Care and since 1998 he specialized in Pediatric Pulmonology. He is currently the Head of the Allergy, Pediatric Pulmonology and Cystic Fibrosis Section of Hospital Universitario Vall d’Hebron in Barcelona. Dr. Moreno is the Medical director of the children's lung transplant program that began in 1998. Since 2006, he has been an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and since 2014 he is Associate professor of Pediatrics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

His main areas of interest and research, include rare lung diseases in children such as interstitial lung diseases, pulmonary hypertension and primary ciliary dyskinesia; pulmonary inflammation in asthma in infants and school children, and lung function in children
