Antonio Addis PhD

Antonio Addis has published several scientific papers on Pharmacoepidemiology and drug information Since 1991.From 2000 to 2009 head of the Office for Drug Information of the Directorate General for Drug Evaluation and pharmacovigilance of the Ministry of Health which later has become the Italian Drug Agency (AIFA).Scientific Director of the national Drug Therapeutic Bulletin (BIF) from 2002 to 2009 and responsible for scientific publishing activities and continuing medical education programme of AIFA.

From 2009 to 2011 he was seconded to the European Medicines Agency (EMA) in London as a National Expert at the Pharmacovigilance Unit, Risk Management Section. Currently, he serves as coordinator for the Governance of Research at the Regional Social and Health Agency of Emilia Romagna where he is in charge for the activities of identification, financing, and monitoring of clinical research proposals granted with regional health funds.
