Anton Bauer PhD, MBA

Anton Bauer serves since 2015 as COO of The Antibody Lab, a privately held Austrian Biotech company. He developed together with Emilio Casanova BAC expression vectors for rapid generation of stable production cell lines, now called “BESTcell”. He has a strong background in antibody engineering and protein expression, and before joining The Antibody Lab, from 2006 on he was part of the founding team of f-star, where he established with his colleagues a novel antibody platform and identified the first clinical candidate. Anton studied biochemistry and immunology at the University of Vienna, and gathered experience in cell biology and protein expression during his PhD at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology of Boehringer Ingelheim in Vienna and the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg. He complemented his scientific education and experience with a dual degree executive MBA in the US (Minnesota) and Austria (Vienna).
