Dr. Anthony K. Frempong-Boadu, MD, Associate Professor of Neurosurgery and Director of the Division of Spinal Neurosurgery. He maintains a Minimally Invasive and Complex Reconstructive spinal surgery practice at NYU. Dr. Frempong-Boadu graduated from Temple University School of Medicine in 1992, and completed his General Surgery internship at NYU in 1993 and his Neurosurgical residency training at NYU in 1999. During his residency, he completed an Orthopedic / Neurosurgery Complex Spine and Deformity fellowship under the direction of Drs. Paul Cooper and Thomas Errico. He subsequently completed a Minimally Invasive, Endoscopic and Complex Reconstructive Spine fellowship at the University of Florida under the direction of Dr. Richard Fessler making him one of the few fellowship trained Minimally Invasive Spinal Surgeons in New York City. He joined the NYU faculty in 2000. Dr. Frempong-Boadu specializes in spinal trauma, complex and reconstructive spinal deformity surgery, endoscopic and minimally invasive spinal surgery, degenerative spinal surgery, and surgery of primary and metastatic spinal cord and spinal column tumors.
