Anthony J. Senagore, M.D., is Professor of Surgery at the Western Michigan University, Homer Stryker School of Medicine , co-founder of SOF Health specializing in products for Enhanced Recovery Programs for surgical patients, and Partner in Sidoris Biomedical, LLC a company specializing in bioresorbable metal surgical implants, with recent excellent in vivo outcomes in GI anastomoses. He has been Professor of Surgery at the UTMB at Galveston, Case Western Reserve University, Central Michigan University, SOM, Southern California, Keck School of Medicine, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio and Michigan State University. Dr. Senagore is a past Director of the American Board of Surgery and a past President of the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery. He currently is Chair of the Colorectal Surgery Review Committee for the ACGME.

Dr. Senagore earned his medical degree from Michigan State University (MSU), East Lansing, MI, completed residency in General Surgery at the Butterworth Hospital/MSU program in Grand Rapids, MI and colon and rectal surgery residency at Ferguson Hospital. He earned a MS in physiology from MSU and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. His administrative experience includes Director of Medical Operations at the Cleveland Clinic, member and Chair of the Practicing Physicians Advisory Committee for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, where he advised CMS on physician payment policy.

Dr. Senagore is board certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery. He is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. A member of numerous surgical organizations, including the American Society of Enhanced Recovery. He is a past president of American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, Midwest Surgical Association, and the International Society of Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgeons. He has over 220 peer review publications and has authored 20 textbook chapters.
