Anthony Etyang MSc, PhD

Dr. Anthony O. Etyang, MSc, Ph.D. is a Consultant Physician and Clinical Scientist at the KEMRI-Wellcome Trust. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Science at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London. His Clinical Interests are Stroke, Infectious Diseases, Malaria, Neurological Diseases, Non-Communicable Diseases, and Blood Pressure. His current studies specifically examine the pros and cons of different methods of blood pressure measurement in the epidemiology and clinical management of hypertension. He is also testing the hypothesis that previous exposure to malaria is associated with higher blood pressure using a Mendelian randomization approach.
