Ann Margaret McCraw is the CEO of Arcis Healthcare, LLC, a recently established private practice divisional merger formed by Midlands Orthopaedics in Columbia, SC and Lowcountry Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Charleston, SC. Seventeen years of human resources and practice management experience at Midlands Orthopaedics have allowed Mrs. McCraw to cultivate sound expertise in private practice healthcare delivery while fostering strong local industry relationships – both of which are essential to help physicians navigate the ever-changing healthcare landscape.
Mrs. McCraw is particularly motivated to pursue meaningful healthcare reform that promotes both cost containment and quality in the context of private physician practice and broader use of ambulatory surgery centers. She is a member of Medical Group Management Association and the American Association of Orthopaedic Executives. She serves on the Board of Directors for the SC Workers’ Compensation Education Association, the SC Association of Orthopaedic Administrators and SCMA Financial Services, Inc. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina’s Honors College in 1992. She is credentialed as a Certified Medical Practice Executive by the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
