Anne Marie Laverty

Anne- Marie qualified in 1990 as a speech and language therapist. In a variety of senior leadership roles, she has had the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary teams to redefine relationships, highlight gaps and strengths in care and discover creative solutions to challenges faced. This work has sustained her passion for over fifteen years.

Anne-Marie was appointed director of patient experience in 2009 – a new executive role for Northumbria. She is a Generation Q fellow – a pioneering leadership scheme, funded by The Health Foundation, designed to develop a new generation of skilled and effective leaders for quality improvement in healthcare.

In 2012 she was nationally recognised for making an outstanding contribution by the Patient Experience Network.
