Dr. Anne G. Vinsnes is Professor of Nursing at the Department of Nursing Science, NTNU, and head of the Clinical Nursing Home Research group at the department. The Clinical Nursing Home Research includes several projects and our main focus is to improve nursing services care by implementing applied research. We conduct research at different levels, including doctoral projects, along with clinically based projects. Project leader experience includes projects on Fecal and Urine Incontinence Care in Nursing Homes; Training of nursing students’ clinical gaze; Strategies to improve practice; and The Teaching Nursing Home project in Mid-Norway.
She has conducted research on urinary incontinence for nearly 30 years, and for the last 7 years faecal incontinence is also included in her research. She has researched the problem extensively and her research orientation in the field includes qualitative and quantitative methods, clinical research in nursing homes, patient and family perception, quality of life, staff attitudes, and translating research into practice.
