Since 2008, Anne-Gabrielle Mittaz Hager has been a professor at the Haute Ecole de Santé, physiotherapy program, HES-SO Wallis-Wallis. A qualified physiotherapist since 1988, she has given several further training courses in manual therapy and specializes in educational sciences and clinical research.
Since 2009, her research has focused on the topics of falls and quality of life for seniors and wheelchair users. Since 2016, she has led the interdisciplinary research project CHEF study on the prevention of falls in older people, awarded by the Leenaards Foundation in 2015. She is also involved in the AAL project "Stay-Fit-Longer", which is currently running in Switzerland, Canada, and Belgium.
