Anne F. Williams PhD, MSc, RN, DipNursEd, DipDN

Anne F Williams a nurse educator and researcher with a clinical background in cancer, palliative care and community nursing. I have over 20 years’ experience as a lymphoedema specialist and was awarded a PhD in 2011 following my research into supported self-care in women with lymphoedema. My experience in supporting people with chronic conditions across acute, community, third sector and hospice settings, in London and Scotland, continues to inspire my work as an educator and researcher. I currently work with a third sector organisation, The Haven Centres in Lanarkshire, where we run a programme of person-centred lymphoedema self-management support for clients, their families and carers. I also recently worked with the NHS Highland Lymphoedema Project, establishing integrated community care for people with lymphoedema in a remote and rural context.
